1. All ads are in black and and white.
2. Deadline for publication is Wednesday prior to the publication date.
3. All ads must be camera-ready and fully complete.
4. Ads must be reasonable length, 75-100 words, if possible.

Full payment by check or money order is due one week prior to intended publication date. Purchase orders are accepted upon approval of the Advertising Editor. If money order payment is not received within 30 days of the publication date, The Spartan reserves the right to refuse further advertisements until the account is paid.

The Spartan newspaper will create advertisements for businesses if and only if the business supplies ample information, copy, and/or pictures. Upon request, The Spartan newspaper will fax a copy of the advertisement before publication. The Spartan charges a creative fee of $50.00 per advertisement.

Classified ads are available at a cost of $5 for the first 50 words. After that it is $1 for each additional 10 words. The Spartan asks that Classified Ads be pre-paid. May or may not be camera-ready.

Invoices and tear sheets should be received no later than two weeks following publication. If the advertiser does not receive an invoice within this period of time, it is his responsibility contact The Spartan.

The Spartan newspaper will grant a discount to advertisers who have placed an advertisement in each issue for one entire semester excluding classified ads. The discount will apply to ad placed in the following semester. The percentage discount will be determined by the Advertising Editor and/or Executive Editor.

Must be pre-printed. The rate for inserts is $300.00 per issue with a 1,000 issue run. Inserts must be received at least one week prior to intended publication date.

Written notification of cancellation must be received within five days prior to publication date.

In the event of a typesetting error that is the fault of The Spartan newspaper, The Spartan will run the advertisement in the next issue for no charge. The Spartan takes no responsibility for errors in pre-made submitted ads or any distortion resulting from an emailed ad that must be resized by the Advertising Editor.
